The Rust Game Place, formerly The Game Place, was founded several years ago by an individual as a hobby in the back of a garage processing deer for family and friends. The business was moved to Clear Springs where additional focus was placed on the ‘house specialties’. The business was purchased in August 2005 by Kay and Randy Rust and the name was changed to The Rust Game Place. To achieve Randy’s number one goal in life, a few years after the purchase of the business, we included a Full Service Meat Market resulting in Rust Meat Market & Game Processing. Many members of the Rust family contribute to the success of our business, with Trey Rust providing additional day-to-day management of the facility.
Our product line includes a wide variety of quality specialty meats, chicken, pork, market franks, miscellaneous heat & eat entrees, #TakeOutTuesday, #RibsAtRust, jerky, dried smoked meats, cheeses, grilling appetizers, vegetables, bread, cookies, canned goods, nuts, and much more. Need a steak a bit thicker? Just tell us, we have onsite butchers ready to customize your steak to your perfection! Gift boxes for all occasions and customized party trays are also available.
Our game processing business is year round in which we practice ‘one deer at a time’. Meaning, whatever meat you bring us, that is the meat you receive back. If you want to bring us your own recipe, no problem. More salt, less salt, it’s okay. Just tell us. Your wish is our command!
